Neighbors in Need: Volunteers meet face-to-face with individuals and families in poverty to provide support and help them through the periods of hard times. Support for these individuals and families includes clothing, food, medicine, utilities and rent support.
Neighbors in Need Food Collection. Each month parishioners donate non-perishable items to the donations bins in the church lobby. On the third weekend of each month, all donated items are taken to Our Lady of the Holy Cross foodbank to assist those in need in the community. Parishioners are invited to drop off non-perishable items in the metal bins located the back of the church lobby. Most requested items: paper goods, tissues, laundry & dish detergent, hand soaps, cleaning supplies, soups, nuts, peanut butter, tuna, macaroni & cheese, hand wipes, canned fruits, and beans.
Christmas Giving Tree/LifeTeen Adopt a Family. Over the holidays, SVdP offers a couple different opportunities to support those in need by donating grocery store gift cards off the Christmas Giving Tree or purchasing gifts for the Christmas SVdP/LifeTeen Adopt a Family.
Reach Out Collection. The Reach Out collection benefits the St. Vincent De Paul Society to help the poor in the neighborhoods of Saint Augustine and Saint Josephine Bakhita Parishes. The gray collection box is located to the right as you enter church on the outside wall of the sacristy.
Financial Support. Your financial support of the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry directly helps individuals and families in our local community who are struggling to meet basic needs. Through your generosity, we are able to provide food, emergency assistance, rent and utilities support, and hope to our neighbors during a difficult time in their lives. Financial donations can be made through the weekly Mass collection or by donating online through the OSV site at the link below.
